The name “celosia” comes from the Ancient Greek word kḗleos, which means “burning”. This refers to the colorful, flame-like flower heads of the plant. In Spain it is known as “Rooster Comb” Whatever the name, this delightful flower will enhance any garden bed, border or pot. Great cut flower, fresh or dried. When planted en-masse it creates amazing colour and texture.
