Chrysanthemum Painted Daisy 100 Seeds

I absolutely adore Painted Daisies (Chrysanthemum carinatum) in my garden. They’re one of those flowers that deliver maximum impact with very little fuss, which is exactly what I want from an annual. The blooms are like little works of art, splashed with rings of burgundy, rose, gold, cream and crimson, making every flower look hand-painted. When they’re in full swing, the garden feels vibrant, cheerful and completely alive.

I love how easily they handle our sunny conditions. I sow them directly into the garden and, before long, I’ve got masses of colour waving about in the breeze. They’re fantastic for filling gaps in borders, creating that relaxed cottage-garden look, and attracting plenty of pollinators. The bees are always busy amongst the blooms.

But if I’m honest, the real reason I grow Painted Daisies is for cutting. A handful of stems popped into a vase instantly brightens the house and lasts beautifully indoors. They’re one of those flowers that look effortlessly stylish, whether mixed with other blooms or simply displayed on their own.

For me, Painted Daisies are the perfect combination of easy-growing, colourful and joyful. Every season they bring a burst of personality to the garden, and I can’t imagine a summer border without them.
