Maintenance: Regular feeding and watering is recommended. Due to its height, this tall variety usually requires staking. Be sure to do so before stems get too heavy. Stems that are bent can be cut back by one half to force new growth at the base of the plant. Cut off most spent flowers so they do not exhaust themselves in seed production but do allow some self seeding to ensure flowers for the next season. Shelter from the wind as best as possible.
