Common Name: Viola Arkwright Ruby
Scientific Name: Viola Cornuta
Physical Attributes: Large character lush blooms of burgundy red with a velvet appearance. She is sometimes considered part of the pansy Family.
Uses: Beds, containers, hanging basket and ground cover.
Life Cycle: Biennial/Perennial
Growing Height: 10 – 15cm
Attracts: Butterflies and beneficial insects.
When to Sow: Spring – Autumn

Sowing Method: Spring sow for flowers the same year or Autumn sow for flowers the following year. It is recommended to sow in trays and transplant when large enough to handle in well drained soil. Avoid excessive root disturbance when doing so.
Position: Full sun (although will tolerate part sun)
Germination Time:5 – 10 days
Maintenance:To encouraged extended blooming, deadhead faded flowers by pinching off the blooms at the base of the flower stem. Leggy or overgrown plants can be cut back to bring back to life.
