Ah, Zinnia ‘Exquisite Light Rose’ — now there is a flower with rather good manners. It is the sort of old-fashioned garden favourite one might expect to find tumbling about in a sunny cottage border, looking far more important than its modest price of a packet of seed would suggest.
I must say, that gentle rose colouring is its great charm. It has none of the brashness of some modern zinnias; instead, it has the quiet elegance of an old-fashioned pink rose, with the great advantage that it is considerably less troublesome.
A splendid flower for the gardener who likes her borders generous, her vases overflowing, and her flowers rather romantically pink.
